Hello guys,

After being riding T4s 2.5 TDI since nearly 20 years already, my latest being a Multivan 150hp Generation, i still don’t know how i could found this T6 from mid 2018 and had soo short notice to validate my visit…
Manual gearbox, TSI 2.0 150cv reprog by first owner specialized on those things to app. 235hp Ethanol, KW3 suspensions and big breaks, aux. Eberspacher heater as optional and converted to a 5 seater « camper van » homologated config….hot water and so on…
I am soo happy and as i already read through a couple of articles from that forum, i wanted to share my mood and hopefully learn from the community around those T6 and TSI engines in particular. Cheers

Bienvenu Bruno.

Bravo for sharing pictures of your new van (most newcomers overlook such a fundamental requirement ;))

How does the T6 compare with your T4? I'm guessing the difference will be quite startling - especially with a 235ps TSI.

The 5 cyl TDI on T4 TDI is exceptional…honestly i had the opportunity to test drive 2.0 TDI 150hp and i was not convinced at all compared to my old school one…
The TSI one with this reprog however was straight to the point of what i was looking for in terms of torque at low rpms + power when pushing the pedal

Hey Team,
I am hesitant on swapping my rims 235/55/17 for 18 alu ones (genuine ones only).
I already have a nice set of shock absorbers from K3, amazing driving experience, and i wondered if should even better pick alu on 17 like those ones instead. Any advices knowing that i love to bring my vans into moutain rocky roads?

Hello team. Do you know if the TSI 150hp has a fuel filter or the LP pump is directly inside the tank without filter requiring replacement?
Bruno

No filter inside the tank, there is a low pressure filter in the feed to the high pressure fuel pump. I’ve made a suggestion in your other thread on the subject.
Sticking to one thread for the matter helps answer the question.

Thanks DXX. Sorry, still not used to the forum i thaught it was better to write in the most appropriated section.

Do you know where that filter is located? I have nothing behind the coolant tank nor underneath the van.

Bruno

Found it….need to remove the tank covers to get access to it. Mine was never replaced yet, 95Mkm, let’s see if this was the root caise of my pressure and combustion issued now….

I finally baught those rims, will go for 215/60 but 107/109 instead of the 235/55 103 which should fit my use in mountainous roads…not too worried for now since the KW3 suspension are pretty amazing.

Guys, i would have another question….
While brunging my van to check for any stage 1 / Flexfuel reprog, the expert told me straight that the PCV valve is damaged, after assessing the « vaccuming » when removing the oil fill plug.
No noise, no instability on idle speed, no signs of oil leakage around it, is it really that worrying or just normal?
