Headrests

Hi folks, I have new leather upholstery for the headrests and I'm wanting to know if the original VW Transporter seat headrest fabric is bonded to the foam. My original ones do not appear to have any clips holding the fabric together, making me wonder if they are bonded
Do I cut off the fabric or try to get the new upholstery over the top.

You could try putting the leather over the top of the fabric as that way you've not crossed the point of no return by scalping the headrest.

I just did and there’s plenty of info’, he has removed the covers.

It’s a job that’s best left to a professional IMO otherwise you maybe looking at you first and last headrest cover replacement with regret every time you get in the van.
