Headlights and DRL's together?

Hi folks,

I've searched but can't find this - not sure if I've missed it.

I know that running the foglights along with the headlights can help to cover the deficiencies of the H4 headlights, but is it possible to run the headlights and DRL's at the same time?

They seem quite bright, so would help but may also dazzle oncoming traffic.

Yes they do.
Is there a way to stop them dimming and have them on full intensity when the headlights are on?

Alternatively, is there benefit in upgrading the sidelight bulbs.

I changed DRL and headlight bulbs (for philips xtreme) but didn't bother with the sidelights. But, the sidelights are on when the headlights are on, so if I put better sidelight bulbs in then it will slightly augment the headlights - but as they're only 5w will this make any real difference?

@Chopman , DONT do it!, the drop lights will be dazzling at night, as they are no an aimed beam pattern.. Your insurance will also be invalidated if you cause an accident and have the lighting adjusted as such.. I for one would not like to be an oncoming vehicle if you did do the mod!

Sorry thought you were on about the led bumper daylight running lights..
