Hi everyone,
I have owned a caravelle since new in 2018 . Though because of diesel gate I didn't get the van until 2019. Sigh!
Since then, I've upgraded it with air ride. Which I told the misses was to level the van in campsites. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink
I love camping with it but to be honest I have a tent that attaches to the side as the space available with the bed out is limited. I absolutely love it as it's my pride and joy. I just wish there was more room in the engine bay. I wish I was back to the T2 days sometimes. But honestly, my son does most of the work, which has been substantial I'll be the first to admit, but I still wouldn't change the van for the world.
Anyway, enough waffle, just wanted to say it's nice to be a part of this forum and looking forward to meeting everyone.

I had a Caravelle for a year and it was great. LWB but with full Executive spec.

Being a 7 seater I was the absolute "go to" for giving friends and families a lift and designated driver

Had a STee Frees bed board in the back to give a king size sleeping arrangement. Loved it!!

Until.....

Sadly it was a 2012 reg with the 180 BiTDI engine about which I was blissfully unaware of the EGR issues until it started eating oil at 80K miles.

Biggest relief of my life when it it sold and was driven off.

Other e than that, Caravelles are great buses.

Hi Orion, yeah, mine is the full spec executive. Welll, except for the automatic main beam, it would seam as though I forgot to tick that box
When I bought mine, I had three and a half kids, now they have "mostly" left home , I have removed the two middle seats and the table as I find it easier to transport things. Maybe I should have bought a transporter
Sad to hear about your 2012 180 BiTurbo... mine is the 204 BiTurbo and I've had to replace the egr twice already. Although I've read they fixed a few issues with the next gen engines...I

Do you still have a VW? I've been a VW fan since the 90s when I had a bright orange beetle and got my picture in WV world magazine for drive your dub to work day (if I remember right)... then had a wizard (cropped beetle) for a while. Loved it but damn cold. I abandoned VW for a while for Toyota but come back to VW again in the end.

Fitted the Van Furniture oak veneer floor and managed to get a coat of Osmo oil on before close of play ( hence shading differences as it's drying )
