Handsfree not working properly.

My phone (iPhone X) is successfully (?) paired with the head unit via bluetooth.
When a call is incoming I can see it on the head unit screen and answer it, however its the phone that is ringing and if I answer, its the phone that takes the call, ie when the caller speaks the sound is coming from the phone, and not even speakerphone so I cant hear what is being said.

I cant find any information / help in the user manual.

The head unit is the Composition Colour Discover Media in a T6.1

Anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

My Galaxy Note 9 did this the other day on my Discover Media head unit. It was a weird half and half affair like you mention where the phone is connected but it answered like it wasn't. The only thing that happened was it fixed itself the next time I went for a drive.
Everything was set as normal so no idea why it happened and obviously not much help to you!
Maybe just reset as much as you can and see what happens?
