Handle issue

unlocked van and pulled sliding door handle,this what happend,will not go back in,removed door card,and
Loosen screws hoping it would go back in,no chance
Question is how to solve my problem door locks fine and can be opened from inside,any body had this problem

Perhaps google how to remove the handle?

I recently changed the handle on my sons citroen C2 and it was relatively easy once I knew which bit of plastic in the mechanism to disengage! (I’d been putting it off for weeks and it took minutes !)
