Getting a bit miffed with little electrical problems

Ok so 1st off my interior lights have stopped going out when i turn ignition on - they used to go off but randomly stopped! go off when i lock van. though.
Now both number plate lights no longer work - put meter in terminals and no power. grrrr noticed this after having reverse camera fitted but that as far as i know (or can see) hasnt been tapped into this number plate lights. so i have the dash 'bulb out' light on.

Anyone got any useful suggestions on causes?

The interior light switch - hmmm could be i suppose, but why would it go out when you lock it but not when doors shut and ignition on? and also the step light stays on.

That function is a setting in the BCM. Have you had a flat battery or maybe battery disconnected? Maybe perform BCM Reset as per @Dellmassive instructions

No BCM did nothing except loose the auto up on drivers window.
And i inadvertently switched ignition on in my haste to see if it had worked forgetting the airbag wire was off the seat.
so i can also confirm a BCM reset doesn't clear airbag warning lights!

if i could lift the van i would throw it out of a window.....

A £15 Carista would reset the airbag light. You’ll also need to open the window, close it fully and then hold the window switch in the closing position for a couple of seconds to reset the end position.
