Hi,

Less than a week to go before we are away for over two weeks.
We will be at 2-3 sites with electric hook up, for 240v. But not put a charger in install yet for our 105ah Fogstar drift battery.

Fogstar do 20a, 30a, 40a and 50a chargers, what would people recommend? slow or fast?
Is there alternatives, that anyone would recomment that are cheaper, preferable on amazon to get it quick for install :)

Also, where I want the charger to sit, next to the 240v Unit, is around 1.5-2m away from the leisure battery (no room for charger nearer), is this a ok length and won't cause issues.

Thanks
Paul

The further the battery charger is from the leisure battery then the fatter the 13V wires will need to be.
I've got a 30A victron right by the leisure battery and used 4.00mm2 on the 13V side, you would probably be ok with that but if it's more like from the drivers or passengers seat to the wardrobe or under the bed then use 6.00mm2.
I went with 30A as I'm impatient and have a 230Ah Roamer under seat battery but realistically with solar up top and a bit of driving the charger just sits there covered in dust bunnies.
Edit, I should have said I've put a 13A skt fed from the wardrobe EHU fuse board on the side of the fridge housing to get around the fat 13V cable thing, the 13A 230Vac skt is fed in 2.5mm2 blue Arctic flex.

20A charger will be fine for the 105ah battery.

They would take 10 hours to charge a flat battery.

Thanks everyone, ordered the 30a Fogstar charger, just to cover me for future bigger battery too
Hoping extending the wire to the battery will be ok.
