Folding mirrors on the key?

Excuse this question if it's been asked before, but my new 2017 T6 has just arrived at the dealers. Along with the extra's i've added to the spec is the folding mirrors.
I was told that it's not possible to have this feature activated when I lock the van, so it folds the mirrors up automatically, but I thought i'd read somewhere that it can be programmed into the key.

Does anyone know if this is possible, and who can do this?

Thanks in advance.

It was build week 38, and I didn't try to lock it stupidly.
I arrived as it was coming off the lorry, and only got to give it a quick once over before it was whisked away for all the other work I requested. If it does, then I will be happy.

Mine (2-3 months old now) fold on locking but I do have to hold the lock button for a few seconds. Then when the ignition is turned on they unfold

Not sure, folding mirrors are not standard on any model but are a paid option so i assume adding folding mirror to a vehicle will add/make them fold on key but cant be 100%

I have a 2017 model and can’t get them to fold on locking, can anyone help?
Registered 2017 or MY2017

Registered 2017 is likely to be a MY2018 in which case it should do it as standard from the factory but as comfort close, press and hold the lock button until the indicators flash a second time.

MY2017 is not possible unless you fit an aftermarket relay module.

The long press should also close the front windows (well does on my 67 Reg Highline). Apparently you can hold the unlock button when returning to your van and the windows wind down a bit to let out excess heat. An AA man showed me but I can't remember what he did.

Just hold the unlock button a bit longer ......works a treat :waving:

I have no problems folding the mirrors with the remote key on my 18 plate Highline BUT that also closes the windows at the same time and I haven't been able to find a way to stop it from happening (I only have Carista). I have wind deflectors on mine and like to leave the windows open a crack for a bit of ventilation when parked on the drive, particularly in winter. Does anybody know a solution that does not involve the manual switch on the door please?

I don't think it's possible, they all come under the 'comfort closing' umbrella in VCDS which you can disable but you can't disable individual thinks like just the windows etc.

Press and hold the lock button to fold and mirror and put the windows up, then press and hold the unlock button to open the windows, followed by a single press of the lock button to lock it again. That's the only way to do it with the remote. In all honesty, it's probably easier to do it all manually before you get out.
