Flooring Q

Hey all,

So my van came with the 12mm soft flooring, which is pretty nice. It also has the anchor point holes cut out too, but wondered how I’d keep it and if it’s a good idea.

I thought maybe going for a infill kit, a thinner ply floor at maybe 5mm and then the soft flooring that came with my van. But would have to keep the anchor point holes unless I could fill them in somehow.

Wondered if anyone had done similar or if there’s any issue with that. I obviously don’t want the floor too high, but want it flat and also comfy hehe.

Cheers.

I kept mine and I am using the anchor points to fix my units down.
If you were going for a full camper interior the ply would help with fixing points.

We’re thinking full kitchen, storage and x2 seats for the kids that fold to make beds 👍.

Can all the interior units be secured with the anchor points perhaps, to save screwing into any ply?

I have the units specific for a Kombi.
I am not sure about a full kitchen , will they be high units ?
Do they have a base ,or is the bottom open ?

Do you have a link to those specific Kombi units by chance? Ours is a Kombi too 👍.

Units shall likely be higher down drivers side, for optimum storage, but likely off the shelf so won’t have a solid base. Then kitchen will be at the back on the passenger side, with a rear pop top.

The company I used was Cymru Camper Furniture.
I can 100% recommend them.
I used VF before but I was not happy with there units .
Are you keeping the rear seats in when camping ?

I’ll take a look at them, thanks 👍.

My plan is to keep my current two captain chairs upfront, then another two singles behind those that will fold down to make beds for the kids. They will stay in place.

I found the space was very limited with the rear seats in. I used to have a Kombination fold down arrangement but it left no living space for rainy days.
But I have a SWB .
