Flat starter battery - help needed

Needs plugging in for codes I expect ...
I take it that it’s your starter battery that’s flat and van won’t start?
I believe that new starter batteries need to be coded in.
Have you done this?

I've read that too, but I replaced my starter battery last year and didn't code it in, it's been perfectly fine.
I’ve never done it but read that somewhere on here also.
I've seen your other thread,
I suggest you clarify the situation with a chronological explanation of what's happened, where you got the new battery from and anything else that might be relevant, then hopefully people can offer advice.
Does the new battery accept a charge? When Charged does the engine then start and run?
If the battery is changed like for like then there should be no necessity to recode and as has been stated after a period of time evidence has suggested that the the vehicle will eventually recognise the new batteries requirements should they be different.

How would I find plug in code
With VCDS or some other code reader, probably at your favourite trusted garage.
