has anyone fitted a second alarm led to the passenger side ie buy an oe led and mount from the drivers side and then run a cable from the drivers side to pass side so it flashes when alarm set or is there a connection in the passenger door that would be used if it was a left hand drive model and the alarm led would be on that side from factory???

No, but I’ve given it thought. I changed the red LED for blue and was going to run a wire from one side to the other but not got round to it yet.

No Not yet,

but dont forget led`s are diodes, so wire them both in series.

they may work in parallel . . but possibly dimmer.

or you can get the Clifford type 12v Flashing LED cheap online . . . . which are much brighter?

Hi, what spec is the blue LED bulb? Was it a straight forward replacement?

Wow. It’s been years and a can’t remember the exact spec. It’s a 3mm blue super bright LED. It does need a resistor in series with it. You then have to cut out the red LED out of the bezel and glue the new one in, and then cut, solder and heat shrink the wiring making sure to get the same polarity.

It’s not too difficult if you’re handy with basic electronics.

I done my old T5. Lights were so cheap. Like £5 for a pack of 10 off Amazon. Drill the hole. Hot glue it in place. Run some bell wire through to the existing led. Join cables and boom. Job done. Double blue flashing led’s!
