First Of Many Questions, No Doubt

Hi all!

New member here, obviously. Had my T28 102 Highline SWB PV (in Mo-harvey) for a month now, and I'm ready to start tweaking it for better wild-camping...

So the first job will be to 'Silent Coat' it, which brings me to the question from the thread-title; The van came with a factory-fitted deadening patch in the middle of each of the most resonant panels - they look kinda like corrugated cardboard, sprayed over with colour-matched paint when the bodywork was done.

Do people usually apply their 'Silent Coat' over this stuff or remove it first, and if removing it, what's the best technique?

My preference would be the second option for as pristine a starting point as possible, so I'm particularly keen to hear from people who have good tips on removal.

Thanks in advance,

Dino

Just go over the top of it mate , oh and welcome to the forum :)

As above leave it in place, remember its stuck to the outer skin so if you mark the metal you will see it on the outside !!

I just used this stuff, easy to apply and cut. I used sharp scissors from Lakeland, well SWMBO got them for a Christmas, i “borrowed” them but may need to buy another pair.

A 40 pack is good for coverage for the rear.
