Fiamma F45s with Westdubs poptop - Help needed!

Hi all, I’ve been getting conflicting advice on how to do this and wondered what ideas were out there.

I’m looking to fit a Fiamma F45s 260 onto a T6.1 which has a Westdubs poptop fitted. I had a fitting booked yesterday but they declined to fit it as the Westdubs hinge runs right along the roof where the rear bracket needs to locate.

Looking at some similar threads, the converters at the NEC show seem to cut the rear bracket and rivnut the plate onto the curve of the roof, avoiding the channel all together.

What are the options for doing this? anyone got a similar setup? What parts/adaptors or modifications did you need?

Thanks,
Justin

I fitted my F45S to the vamoose awning rail already fitted to my van.
The brackets don’t go into the channel they are rivnutted to the curve on the body
Not the best pic.
At least it’s an option fitting an awning rail first IMG_7530.webp

Afternoon I have the same set up hope the photos help but as The Flying Scotsman has said rivnutted on which goes under the edge of the roof when closed
