Faulty infotainment unit T6 2017 T32

Hi, I have the original infotainment unit in my T6 which is playing up only able to change radio channels via steering wheel not able to use phone system either and unable to input destinations on to Sat nav the maps shows position of vehicle on map only. Nothing happens when pressing screen for anything.
What is the cause of this ?
Is it worth repairing?
If not can anyone point me in the right direction with a suitable replacement make or suggestions preferably with apple car play ?

Can be repainted, sent off and fixed remoly.

Thread 'OEM Headunit Problems [Merge]'

Today the discover media system rebooted 3 or 4 times within about 20 mins of driving. At the time the nav was displaying and sd card music playing. Thought it might have been a corrupt music file but I couldn't repeat the problem so ruled that out and It hasn't done it again?? Anyone experienced this or know what's going on.

Many thanks for your feedback and after watching the video of replacing the digitiser it looks like I could manage hopefully to replace my one. Any advice on where best place to obtain a replacement / rough cost.
