Whilst travelling on holiday last week, the glowplug/preheat light started flashing.
I pulled over, switched the ignition off and on and it stopped flashing.
This happened 3 times and then the engine management light came on.
It happened a couple more times too.
When I reached my destination, I found someone to run a diagnostic on it and before I went there, the van had obviously been through 3 heat cycles at that point and the light had swithced off.
The above fault codes showed up when read and once cleared they didn't come back. After a week driving around Cornwall, all was well until we were on the way home and the same issues happened on dual carriageway and motorways. When the preheat light came on and I pulled over to switch off and restart, the error message "start stop function inoperative" flashed up on the dash.
