So I have driven on these in the dry and wet, and I like to make progress. And been really happy with them. But now I have used them in the snow and yet again found them impressive. I just thought I would put that out there for anyone considering them.

Yes I also find the road noise is surprisingly low.

I find them mediocre in the wet considering my driving style which also likes to "make progress", especially in Italy where I spend a lot of time. I suspect that is possible the road surface combination and stuff.

I'm a retired Class 1 jockey who can no longer be arsed "making progress" as it never seems to make my journey any quicker.

But I am seriously considering Wildpeaks for my next set off boots.

|I dont push hard into corners, but I dont hang about as they say. Not felt any kind of loss of grip. Although I cant be 100% sure of the amount of 'feel' through the steering. I would have thought you could feel something. Maybe im not as quick as I imagine, but I dont want to try harder

I agree I have found at times when getting a move on, and successfully overtaking (although frowned on these days). that those you passed come trundling up behind. I have slowed down a lot. But I cant see me ever being a pootler

Another thumbs up for wildpeaks. A cheapish set up if you stick them on Devonports!

I sold my alloys and bought delivery miles steels and sprayed them myself. 2.5 years on they still look great

Most reviews claim they are not great in the wet. I guess there are much better options for wet conditions.

I have a set 235/55 on 18” steels and have been really happy with them. I wanted something that would good on rough back roads but not too noisy on the motorway. Seem to tick all those boxes.

Yes very odd, no wheel spinning or drama. Im now looking into a similar tyre for our F60 Countryman

Those of you with 235/65/R17s what are you doing about a spare?

I also have the standard spare, although I need to inspect it as mine was fitted with sportline 18s from new.

I’m checked nine in the summer, but I would like to either paint the wheel or replace it this year I think. Will consider whether a new tyre is needed then too.

At which point I will be torn about whether to get another Devonport wheel and decent tyre, which I will hopefully never need, or just stick with similar setup to now.

With devonports as cheap as chips worth a punt!

Come tyre change time I’ll keep the best wildpeak as a spare (on a devonport) and get 4 new tyres!
