Genuine VW GP Steels and Falken Wildpeak, Can it be done?

most, if not all of the VW GP 17” wheels on marketplace come with 215/60/R17 tyres on them!

So it’s ok is it to fit 235/65/R17 Falken WIldpeak Tyres on these rims without issues?

I have 2020 T6.1 Kombi T32

If anyone has done this would really like to see some photos and hear your thoughts.

Many people have that tyre on the 17” Devonports which is effectively a posher version of the GP steel. I run the 225s to reduce the rolling radius at the expense of 10mm of width. Mine is a T30, H&R -40 springs and no rubbing whatsoever.

You just need to ensure there is a tyre with a suitable load rating.

VW seem happy with the width at least!

I am the same as @Paynewright in my choice, except that I am on 235/65/17 as I have the 30mm Sportline springs fitted.

No issues here either. It’s more about what fits on the width of a wheel rather than the actual type of wheel itself.
