Excessive Soot VW Dealer Diagnostics

@Sasquatch I discovered our local main stealer is £192 per hour but I'm going to guess that this particular garage wanted the van for a couple of days and were going to drop onto it within that period as and when they could ie. half an hour diagnosis one day, order in and fit parts next day that sort of thing.
If the bulk of their bread and butter are fleet customers then they will probably have a firms van for days on end with minimal further contact between parties until the vehicle is fixed, as private owners of commercial vehicles we're not used to this type of service on our pride and joy,
just guessing here mind you. 🥸

Holy Mary Mother of Trump!

I think DubDoc Shop will continue to get my money.

PS, drove past your QTH the other day. Daughter took me to look at a car for her, I said don't buy it, and she bought it. I was the one facepalming as I drove her old car back past your 20.

tell me about it, two and half weeks for an hour or so investigation with no fix then a further one and half weeks for ditto. the amount of severely baked on bird sh1t on the roof which they neglect to clean tells it's own storey as to where it has spent most of that time.

with the added bonus of £19/day insurance on a courtesy van

Off topic but neighbour had his conifer mutilated by tree surgeons as it was getting a bit rowdy, I was out pushbiking with mates so she sent through a picture of pretty well their first cut...

Apparently the top 4 metres of the tree did that where tree sturgeon 2 tensioning the rope hadn't had his Reddy break that morning.
If I can replace the broken bits I might emerge ahead on the deal as the guys bribed me to keep quiet when I got home, if not the only way  is to buy a shiny new higher gain Yagi which I've had my eye on for a while.🤪
