Error Ignition Start switch implausible signal error 03444

Ran a diagnostic and Carista cleared a few ECU errors but I am left with one fault as below. Says it is the ignition starter switch error. Anyone had this issue and solved it? The engine starts OK...just wondered why I have this error. Do I need a new switch? Tried resetting ...no joy

I just got it. My dashboard blacked out when I tried to start, took key out tried again and it started but the clock and radio needed reset, so I ran the carista.

What did you do to fix it?

Im doing the NC500 next week and might find it difficult getting the van looked at before then.

Sounds like a flat or failing battery ?

I just checked the battery and the tester suggested I replace it (33%) Its only in about 2.5 years.

I will replace it before next friday, does this mean there may not be an issue with the ignition.

I didn't fix it. My van has been running fine since I posted this last August 25. Maybe Pauly's suggestion might fix it. Think I need a new battery as I have accidently flattened mine a few times.

Thats good to hear. Hopefully its just the battery. Carista likes to give the worse case scenario.

Just to keep members updated.

The dash went blank today after driving 70 miles, only Halfords open. I had a new battery installed and the fault codes are gone.
