Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Location

Sorry, meant actual raw data extracted with diagnostic tool via OBD-socket - as the dash displays are heavily filtered. Just engine off.

Not sure where those values come from, perhaps some of the compensated/proportional values - the raw oil level from the sensor is millimetres.
Here we go.
I took a 10 second plot ("Chart" in ODBeleven), sample frequency seems to be 5 Hz.

I have this now. I ordered new hella sensor from euro car parts and fitted it with new oil change. Same story. I have start stop error too. Snap on diagnostic tool is coming up with code P019700 Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Circuit Low. Any Ideas? Only thing left I can try really is order the VW/Audi spare direct from them...
I can confirm from VW garage and warranty job that it was the following at fault:
- G39 Lambda sensor 1 bank 1
- Oil temperature / level sensor

Both replaced, and working perfectly. I hope this helps.

So they didn't claim rodent's damage before having seen the van from 100 yards distance? Sounds nice!
They tried me to sign an insurance claim for rodents beforehand, again, before the van entered their facilities at all. Of course I didn't and I said if I psy I want back the sensor for further analysis.

BTW, they said I can drive it no issue, until I get a red motor icon, but today I had it idling at 1000 rpm all the day, including 80 km in the slow city highway ring . That until I purposedly went for a half hour "race style" drive on the outer highway to CZ. Now it is idling normal again. Still 1 month to go until they will have time to actually look at it. I hope it survives (I may have a 2000 km work trip in between :( ), especially the DPF. Again, it is a VAG leasing vehicle, that may give me some legal leverage, one day. Or maybe I should just not "buy" it ( sorry I don't know the English legal term) at the end, and suck up the bad business.
