the EML came on my 66 reg 150 manual Kombi after leaving Preston on the M6 this week, 200 miles in to the journey. Still on 50 miles later so I topped up the tank with VPower from Shell as the manual states exhaust (not EGR) a toot around Morecombe area and then a return home...still on 200 miles later so decided to venture snouts 100 miles back to In-laws to code read it.
Get up, turn over engine and light didn’t come on....so 400 (or so) miles with an error light and it then went off. Added additive to tank, drove home, still ok.
Moral is, don’t use cheap fuel, VPower from now on to see how it goes.
