Electronics Fixing Points

I've seen a few threads where electronics hardware and been positioned behind carpeted board seemingly attached to the outer skin of the van Clearly I don't believe people are actually fixing them to the outer skin, so how are they doing this? ...sikaflex.. lol.

Have you got a link to an example....?

You could mount your gear on a board with bolts through from the back and then sikaflex the board to the inside of the panel?

Equipment itself. There are a number of threads on this forum where people have placed CTEK split chargers and/or other audio equipment in the gap between the outer skin and internal carpeted area.

I particular image... Fishs epic conversion thread. Page 1 half way down.

Ah right . . . . i see.

well @Fish will be the best man to answer that question . . . . . . . . over to you Sir !

You can bond direct to the outer skin but this isn't best practice as if a piece of part fails then removal is a nightmare.

I would either use inner skin for fixing points for a moisture resistant board or bond the board to outer skin and screw equipment to this.. if you change plans or.sell then leave board in situe.
