Electric Car Jack bought on eBay

In January this year I 2025 bought an Electric Car Jack with Tire Inflator Pump 5 Ton 12V LED Hydraulic Car Jack Lift on eBay.
I think I had used it on only 3 occasions.
Oil started leaking from the Jack when I was trying to lift the back nearside wheel of my T6. 10mins before I had lifted the front nearside , removed the tyre and cleaned the disc with brake cleaner.
When the oil started leaking it would lift no longer.
Anyone else had issues or used these things? It was a small seal that gave out and allowed the hydraulic fluid (oil-like) to leak. Anyone thinking of buying one......DON'T!!
It is now in the bin.

The jack is more or less the same as this image depicts

I am going to buy a trolley jack to replace it...any recommendations anyone?

There's a good reason why you won't see one of these at a tyre depot.

Good god...

Get a decent trolley jack, SGS Engineering are good, same with clarke. Heard good things about Halfords professional too, don't buy the budget Halfords range, had one of those fail.

Most importantly make sure it's rated to the weight of the van, and buy some axle stands. Jack up and put axle stand somewhere as security.

Something like this would be ideal
