EGT Error - Part number help

Hi all,

My bus has thrown an error over the weekend for two of the exhaust gas temperature sensor (2 and 3). This is on a 2014 2.0 diesel (114ps).
Can anyone help me with some questions here:
From my reading so far, I believe the offending sensors are under the bus on top of the exhaust, accessible from underneeth on ramps. Where do they plug in? Is that also under the bus?
Does anyoen know the part numbers for the offending sensors?

4911 - Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor; B1 S3
P242A 00 [175] - Malfunction
Exhaust gas temperature sensor 1: 18.0 �C
Exhaust gas temperature sensor 2: -0.0 �C
Exhaust gas temperature sensor 3: 1000.0 �C
Exhaust gas temperature sensor 4: 18.0 �C

5257 - Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor; B1 S3
P242A 00 [175] - Malfunction

To add a bit more context I tried to grab a couple of photos.

Looking down the back of the engine circled in red, I can see one sensor.


When I zoom in, the error is clear given the lack of cable attachment.


I assume this is sensor 2? Would I be correct in that. That would mean sensor 3 being further along the exhaust under the bus.
If I equate it to this picture from another post, I am assuming that sensor 2 is position 5 in this picture and sensor 3 would be position 6. Am I along the right lines here?

The fault codes indicate that the issue is only with sensor 3.

No, sensor 2 is in position 4 - after turbo = before catalyst.
However, not listed for CAAD engine - thus most likely not installed on any CAAD. VCDS engine blockmap's sensor installation would help to confirm.

sensor 3 would be position 6.

No, sensor 3 is in position 5 - before DPF.

Thanks for the reply, @mmi. It was actually your post I pulled the image from Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors.
What you say about the error being only S3 makes sense. I think the value of -0.0 at sensor 2 was throwing me for a loop. With what you say after about position 4 being sensor 2 and that not featuring on the CAAD engine fits.

Given my first position was off, I am all off but have the orientation now.. I hope.. So this would make EGT Sensor 4 = position 6 I guess?

I have ordered a replacement sensor now - hoping it makes it to me soon and I can get it fitted at the weekend.
