There is a coolant leak from the rear of my egr cooler.. It’s hard to explain where, but I’ll try. On the rear of the cooler is a casting which appears bolted to the main cooler body. This has a sensor wire and a couple of pipes to it and the rear egr pipe.
In this casting is a small (manufactured) hole about 4 or 5mm. Coolant is leaking out of there. Anyone know what should be in there? Or what’s behind it?
VW had a look yesterday and they are going to ‘investigate further’ when it goes in for a service next Friday.
So I’m trying to work out exactly what it is before I’m met by their barrage of BS.
Forewarned is fore armed and all that.
