ECU Testing due to P261A00 Error

Hi all,

I have a P261A00 error code Coolant Pump B Control Circuit Open. I have had the pump and relay replaced and the wiring checked and told all ok. The garage said it may be the ECU. Does anyone know where I can take my van to get the ECU checked/tested in the midlands area please. Been off the road for 6 weeks now and struggling without it

Hi I had mine cut out and wont power back up. What's the symptoms of yours? Does it crank? My needles do the needle dance on ignition but nothing cranks.

Hi dopeytree, sorry for the delay getting back to you. Vans been off the road for a few months. Mine turned out to be a wiring fault to the coolant pump B. Had the wiring replaced and all good now. How did you get on?

Nice yeah mines been to 2 garages but they wont really touch it. Then got it booked in with local VW specialist & they cancelled on me last week so just looking at other options now.
