Dynavin T6.1 fit

I’m really tempted to get this unit since seems a good deal but I’m always cautious when things look too good to be true.
I have T6 but looks like it’s the same unit with different compatibility kits.
Are you still happy with the system? Have you encountered any issue since apart from the DAB?
I just want to use CarPlay anyways and I don’t need anything else.

I got mine for the same reason - to be able to use CarPlay. The CarPlay works seamlessly - connects wirelessly and my unit 100% of the time I am driving is using Waze, Apple Music, Spotify, BBC Sounds and Podcasts through CarPlay.

The only annoying bits for me are it sometimes takes 1-2 minutes for the CarPlay to connect when I turn the van on and my DAB problem you read about (but that may not be the unit - it could be down to the aerial).

Did you get the flex and then paid the extra after the 31 day trial? I could get the unit for €299 and then add €99 to use the CarPlay.
I read that the brightness is not as strong as other units. Have you had any issues with the screen not being bright enough?

I have had no issues with brightness on the screen, it has always been perfectly reasonable. When I purchased CarPlay was included in the price, but the price was significantly higher than those you quote. My model is D8-333 - I dont know if the D9 is a new unit or if it is just as software upgrade.

Yes, my Dynavin is still running fine!

I am as happy with it now as from the start. I pretty much use it 100% of the time with CarPlay using Waze and Spotify and it 100% still meets my needs. My only complaint remains consistent from the beginning in that it can take a while to connect to CarPlay when starting up - but the max time this takes is only really 30-45 seconds max. I am probably just very impatient!

Great. Thanks for your quick reply-sounds like a really good option I've put up with CarPlay crackle for 3 years because I can’t justify £1000 for an alpine but this looks like a good upgrade at a sensible price.

That was exactly my reason to purchase it. CarPlay crackle made the original unit completely unbearable for my needs.
