Drip strip over sliding door.

I've found that the curved shape of the van sides means that water running down the side above the door tends to get 'thrown' in to the van, rather than just dripping vertically on to the step.
I have adhered a strip of clear silicone 'draught strip' along just above the door. Water running down now runs forward or aft rather than getting thrown in on to the carpet.
Best to use white spirit or paint thinners to remove any grease or wax so it sticks well.

Often I wish I'd just got something so i could have the door open to help with condensation when it's raining .

I fitted a pair of narrow wind deflectors to the front doors, specifically so I can leave the door windows open an inch or so without rain getting in.
They don't interfere with me using the external window thermal blanket.
The only downside is that the windows rattle a bit if you drive with the windows just ajar.

That's because you fitted deflectors that fit within the rubber seal and therefore stop it's doing its job properly ;).
Fit genuine vw items 👍
