Door lock pop up pin

Noticed the t6 has a pop up door pin so it’s up when unlocked and down when lock.

Has anyone replaced these with something similar to cars where it has a flashing red light for locked?

Don’t like the pin so maybe even a blanking but for he door would be better

I can't see the point of it myself..

Exactly it’s a bit old school and pointless. Might see if I can put a cap over it

Just be careful if you remove it as it is on the end of a rod that goes down to he lock, if you remove it the rod might fall down or just inside and get jammed and prevent it from being unlocked..

It's the same on my MK4 golf. I find on bright sunny days its a better visual indication as to whether its locked or not (certainly at a distance). At night the LED works better. For me they both are handy.
