Hi all, I’ve a dometic built in fridge but looking at getting a bit more fridge storage.
I’ve a t6.1 with 2 captains seats. I’m looking to get one of the 2 cool boxes in the title to sit between the 2 seats.
Has anyone already done this? If so with which cool box?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Darren did get a cf11 fridge ?? Im after one as well ,but it seems like it may be to snug to fit in between the captains seats and inbuilt drivers hand brake

Thanks Darren looks good you get to the hand brake ok ?I presume yours is built into the drivers base as well
My van is in for a few nice bits ,including a socket put behind my seat to feed a fridge for the longer trips ,

I can easily get to the handbrake. Take pics of the 12v socket you get installed, I’ll be interested to see how it turns out

I’ve got a cf11 which I’ve had for four years or so and sits snugly between the two captain seats. I love it. It also has two handy cup holders for the back seats if you face it that way round. I wouldn’t be without mine.

Just done a hack across Europe on weds (Kandersteg to sussex) and it has enough room for a small bottle of milk, a few cans of drinks, a bit of chocolate and a sandwich. Perfect. Being able to grab a ice cold drink is brilliant on a long journey.

Couple of pics. Excuse the mess!

Handbrake a little bit of a fiddle depending on where the fridge sits.

I have the Domestic, considered both. The Indel is 18l so a fair big bigger, and easier to stand up bottles etc in it. By all accounts it's a bit 'snugger' (if that's a word), but both are fairly tight and are up against the handbrake. I went for the Dometic partly because I have a 50l Delonda for long trips, but mainly because I got a good deal on it.

Thanks all
They are the only 2 compressor types that seem to just fit ,both around £450 each at the minute
Both the same width
And reading its best kept full to be more efficient so may go for the Dometic

question ,apart from slamming your brakes on ,are they pretty stable, dont slide about to much ?

Mine doesn’t slide (Dometic) but I have to say I think the other looks better as better shape. Mine you don’t have much full height space. The other one looks slightly more useful and I could be tempted to swap mine!

I tend to agree with you ,think im double backing on myself and going for the indel
thanks all ,I will add a pic when my vans back and its installed

Also tempted…
The Indel b is available from euro car parts for £410

Indel in mine, as well. Tricky to use handbrake on my T6 Caravelle but it's an auto so I hardly ever use it anyway.

Okay, it fits but I’d say… not that well!

It would definitely be better if you don’t have armrests…

Also the 15 litre version is 45mm lower and would def clear the passenger seat backrest knob much better.

Have push it back a little to operate the handbrake.

Here are the pics…

Was able to return if no problem, so now looking at the 15l and maybe the Dometic…
