Hi, looking at travelling some distance to look at a 2018 Shuttle. The salesman swears that there is cold AC coming out of the rear passenger vents but I'm not so sure the HVAC control panel on the dash indicates this is true. From this pic, can anyone definitively say one way of the other?
If you have it fitted there will be an auxiliary hot water heater and AC evaporator in the back drivers side rear behind the wheel arch with an intake by the tailgate. That then blows cold air through the roof vents and warm air along the floor to outlet bottom of C pillar - makes quite a distinct "lump" along that side of the rear.
I'm so confused . The Shuttle in question has the rotary controls and not the digital ones (it is an SE model). On reading up on various forums, I was sure that with the HVAC controls, in the photo I posted above, it was only going to have AC at the front. However, the salesman has told me he's checked and it's blowing cold air in the rear- as terrible as it sounds, I am hesitant to take his word and it's a good five-hour round trip to find out!
@northstaradventure get the VIN number and either ask @Pauly or your local dealer for a Car Data Print of that VIN. That will tell you exactly how the vehicle was built.
