Diff warning light flashing

All, I have a 2017 T6/T32 Twin slider 4 motion (Auto) Diff lock warning light started flashing, but drives ok. VW specialist is struggling to find the issue as no fault code found. Any ideas to possible fault? please

Update on Diff Lock warning light. My Van doesn't have the diff lock fitted. Any ideas why the warning light would be flashing if the Diff not fitted?

Are you sure its not a Haldex fault warning, rather than a diff lock warning in a van with no diff lock?
Having said that, I'd expect a fault code to be logged if your Haldex was faulty.

The garage is saying no fault codes. The van can drives well enough.

On the VW app, it says my T6.1 has a diff lock. I don't have a button.

Wonder if yours is the same?Screenshot_20260219_193736_Samsung Internet.webp

I am assuming your VW specialist is using a VW specific Diagnostic tool (Odis/ VCDS etc) ?
Could you post a photo of the flashing light?
When was your Haldex last serviced?

The Garage is VW specialist. The van had an engine service would the Haldex be serviced at the same time as part of an engine service? Can’t take a photo van is with them.

This is a good thread regarding the Haldex servicing....

The Haldex Service interval is every 40k miles or 3 years, however more often is recommended as the flter screen gets gunked up and then the pump fails.
Therefore also ensure the filter screen is cleaned, not just the fluid chenged (which is all the main dealers will do unless specifically requested)

The garage has established it’s an electrical fault. As I don’t have a diff lock and not the Haldex but something causing the fault sending false alarm message.

Issue has been found. Control box on top of the Haldex full of water and corroded. Causing diff warning light to come on.
New unit from VW £784 inc vat plus labour £1,356.00 😡

That's a lot of money but I'm glad you've finally resolved the issue.
