Hi Folks
I have a 6 month old Multivan Life TDI and have a recurring intermittent battery warning light error that neither VW Assistance Germany or UK and the supplying dealer undertaking a diagnostic full check can identify. I have read other articles that seem to indicate similar issues on the T6 model.
Travelling to Germany in July the 12v error message flashed up and then before you can read it it goes off - this happened about every 2 hours. VW Assistance came out plugged into e system and confirmed battery charged and alternator working same error recurred on return journey to Uk, VW Assistance came out plugged in and did a full laptop scan - no problem.
Full day of diagnostic checks at supplying dealer and no error found!
Yesterday returned from Germany/Austria: on outward journey travelled for 3 hours and this time full battery symbol flashed on so briefly the message could not be read. No further problems in Austria or return journey to Calais but one hour out of Folkestone on homeward trip same light flashed up again - this error is driving me nuts and the only offer from VW Commercial customer service is to take the van to a second dealer.
I think this could be an intermittent software error that nobody want to own - any techies out there who could offer further ideas?
