Deer whistle

What frequencies Hz do these things operate at. Most animals can hear a much higher pitch frequency than humans so things like dog whistles are generally way out above our hearing limit! If it is within human audible limit then you may start to irritate locals or people along regular routes.

Not sure on the ones I linked, but the ones below says that they are ultrasonic and unable to be heard by humans or pets in the vehicle.
I suppose this begs the question, if other pets in the car can't hear it will a dear, fox or badger be able to hear it?

I wouldn’t rely on any device as there’s no prediction on which way animals run.
If the cover is better on the other side of the road they may well run across the road, or they may well follow the lead animal in the herd regardless of how they take flight.

Way back in 2010 when we lived in Norfolk the wife was on the way to work at 7am and a deer hit her little smart car.... the deer came off worst.

All shaken up, but car was fixable. If you can get anything that will work that’s great, but not sure they will...........

About 15 years back Mrs Sasquatch hit a deer on the M1 in her then brand new Peugeot 308GT. There was nothing she could do, any evasive action would have caused a pile up, andnin recognition of this her insurers - Sheila's Wheels - wrote it up as non fault, which surprised and pleased us at the time.

I love Smart cars. So wrong, yet so charismatic. When I was cycling absolutely everywhere and didnt really need a car at all I had a W450 which I kept in the garage as a just in case option.

Yeah, always seem to put a smile on your face when you drive one.
I've had 2, both black Cabriolets, 450 and 451.
