Hey everyone,

Newbie here, currently drive a Vito panel van but about to place an order for a T6 panel van and having a bit of a pre-order crisis! I'm ordering the van and running it for work for next three years, super low-mileage at work (circa. 4k per annum) then I'm hopefully gonna buy it for residual value and do a full camper conversion.

So far spec is:

• T30 LWB 150PS
• 6 spd manual
• Metallic Bamboo Green
• Replaced barn doors for tailgate with heated window (gonna add an internal grill myself whilst using for work)
• Heated Seats
• Tow bar and 13 pin electrics
• De-badged
• Ply lined (by dealer)

Dilemma is...

I need a bulkhead for work use, but dealer reckons if I go for factory fitted swivel seats, the bulkhead is removed. But at £120 for the factory fitted swivel seats, do I get them and fit my own plywood bulkhead? Or forego the swivel and add later?

Also am I missing anything obvious here that I might want to add at build stage for a future camper?

I'm looking at 12-16 weeks for delivery so will post pics in what seems like a very long time from now...

Thanks for that. Sort of makes my decision for me as I like height adjustment!

Started thinking about carpeting the cab too. Might get a bit grotty with work use though.

See if you can get a test drive at night to see if you are happy with the lights.
I'd love to hear feedback from someone who has had a dealer sat next to them while they try to see where they're going...
The other options are the H7 lights or LED lights which are both expensive options but people who have speced them have been pretty happy they have.

I would add the swivels after. I am not sure a bulkhead is possible with any brand of swivels unless it can be easily removed for weekend breaks.

If you can stretch to LED lights I would 100% recommend. The standard lights are shite and LED lights look lovely.

Carpeting the cab does make it look less van like in the front which is nice on long drives. You could always get some heavy rubber mats or a on piece carpet mat to protect it.

Nice choice of colour. Not seen many bamboo's but the ones I have look great.

Don't forget the rear wash wipe for the tailgate. Oh and the additional dust seal.

Swivel seats, buy a bulkhead there must be loads about. What spec is the van to start with? Trend line etc?

Defo the 2nd battery, thats a bargain having that all factory wired up with split charge. If ur gonna use it in the winter the air heater instead which includes the 2nd battery. And yep the swivels but not if u need the bulkhead. Just finalising mine with these.
