Hi all,
This is more of a vent than anything else as I'm feeling fairly upset about the following. Barring my home, this is the most expensive thing I've ever bought and it annoys me so much that others (and so called professionals at that) can care so little about doing their jobs properly.
When deciding to buy my T6.1 one of the things the (main VW) dealer agreed to fix were some light scratches down both sides. When we picked it up it looked ok, though I should have looked closer as since its first wash which removed whatever filler heavy wax/polish they use it's revealed some of the worst holograms I've ever seen in car paint. They obviously let some idiot loose with a rotary polisher. The picture below doesn't do it justice.
On top of that, one of the rear seatbelts was broken from day 1, despite their 141 point check stating otherwise. The check list also has 'n/a' next to the rear view mirror check, which makes me think they didn't even look at the van whilst ticking all the boxes and assumed it was a panel van without a rear view mirror rather than a kombi.
The final cherry on the cake was the sales person telling me they'd be very happy to talk me though the customer survey I'll get to make sure I do it right!
It's going to need professionally detailing and hope they've not totally mangle the clearcoat which will set me back a few hundred. As I said at the start, this post is more a therapeutic vent but part of me wants to use the obviously 'fake' check sheet as a stick to beat them with. If someone could tell me "there there, it'll be alright" I'd appreciate it.
