After watching other peoples setup progressing I finally bit the bullet and ordered a Renogy 100ah Mini LifePo and a DCC50S for my Day-Van conversion. Starting off simple so no solar at this stage (potentially want to add this later and have it switchable from leisure battery and Bluetti) just looking at leisure battery to supply USB strip lighting in the ceiling, a couple of USB sockets in the back and a 12v socket to charge a Bluetti AC180 which will do the donkey work for kettle/induction hob.

This is my initial wiring diagram, can people please comment, i'm seeking clarification of fuse sizing (and positioning). The idea is all the gubbins will be installed under the passenger seat. I was initially looking at positive and negative busbars, but noticed a few on here using the 4 way power distribution block with maxi/midi fuses.

Its all highly subjective and depends what the finished target is but ....

Not sure i see the point of the midi/maxi unit unless you are adding some big loads later ?
Negative bar is pointless unless you have more to connect later ?
If you ground the loads from the fusebox then no negative required ?
Could argue the point of the isolators too ?

I would prob up the main battery cable fuses to something a bit higher the max design current so prob 80 or 100A min at each end ?

Thanks @Pauly I wasn't sure about the maxi/midi, i don't think I'm bothered about EHU and if I add solar it would come in at the DCC50S so less components to buy 👍

Is it good practice to fuse both ends of the cables then, even on the short run between DCC50S and Leisure Battery (Both will be under the seat)?

So earth the loads to the factory earths in the rear? I saw a different 6 way fuse box which didn't have earth points so that makes more sense now.

Thanks for the reply, battery and charger arrived today so will order the rest of the components tomorrow.

I meant each battery end of the cable, you are showing a 60 and an 80 amp fuse, think I would have them both as 80 minimum
