Cylinder head

Hello all
I have got a 66 plate T28 that I bought from Copart, van had a wack in the front which sheared the engine and gearbox mounts and trashed the oil cooler. Mounts have all been changed and rad pack sourced. Long story short engine has never run properly so I have spent time on other projects after Xmas I charged battery up and tried again this time engine locked up in one point. Rocker cover off, carnage above cylinder 4 one valve dropped and bits of valve gear everywhere. Engine is now out of van and head is off. 1 exhaust valve has snapped head and stem of valve has dug into head next to inlet valve and bashed the seat, possibly cracked valve seat. Head is now scrap. I have found several people selling AMC heads which are made in Spain lots of different prices, best price so far is from cs-parts-shop in Germany £1280 for a complete head with valves, springs, cams and followers. Has anyone had any experience of these heads?
Second hand from breakers is a complete joke, circa £3K for a 100K complete engine!
Cheers Baz

No experience with the AMC head but you will also need to checked for twisted cam lobes (pressed unit) and piston crown height (bent rod).
Personally I wouldn’t be looking to save money on a cylinder head, better to buy a VW used head and refurbish IMO.

I didnt word that very well on Ebay there was a 100,000 mile engine for £3k. AMC head comes complete cams the whole lot.
I have measured the piston crown height and 1 and 4 match.
