Cut out a small section of the back and add a box

Hi, I'm new. I have seen online people adding side boxes to other vans to increase the width of a van, (not theT6).
Is it possible to do this on either side of a T6, over the wheel arches, from the back door to about 1400mm towards the front.
To make the extrnal width of that section about 1850mm ?

I've seen such things on sprinters and transits...not seen anything for the T6 though

They wouldn’t work on a t6, they stick out like a pair of ears as the camber of the crafter is different it sticks out as far as the wheel arches and less on the passenger to allow for the side loader.

As Mick says, anything sticking out will interefere with the sliding doors.

Also keep in mind that the various road regulations means you have to be careful extending the width of a vehicle - hence why if you look at most of the side pod examples they don't actually increase the overall clearance width as on larger vans the sides tend to lean in as Mick says.

The T6 body doesn't really do that, it's much more vertical, so there is really no extension to be had even if you just did one side where the slider isn't.

If you need more space in a T6 go for the LWB body versions.
