rear panel carpeting cut out size?

Hi all,

lots of searching, but cant really find an answer - I'm wanting to put a couple of half ply, carpetted panels in the upper rear sections in the back (LWB). I was thinking (and have cut some ply for) of using the outer panel clip holes (yellow), but it seems like this could be a faff. They panels would need a couple of tabs each side to keep the ply on flat.

The other options is to cut the ply down to fit in the recess (pink) and i guess then velcro the ply panel to the van?



Anyone any tips?

I've just finished this upper panel in my SWB and it was a real pain finding the holes, still got the other side to do

I used strong magnets, never come loose or moved

i'm thinking going on the inside and velcro will be much easier, it alraedy feels like the ply panel needs to be forced onto the outer edge without the clips.

That’s a good shout! That’s exactly how I want mine. I’m gonna go on the inside.

I put foam on the inside of the panel to help reduce noise
