Cracked my windscreen today (sad face)

Long story….

Bought a van with no mirror but a mirror ‘stub’.
Bought a wolf box dash cam and rear mirror.
Discovered wolf box won’t fit onto mirror ‘stub’.
Discovered wolf box will fit on existing mirror.
Bought TWO rear view mirrors (I was tired).
Booked fitting of wolf box for Friday.
Panicked that wolf box wouldn’t arrive in time.
Panicked that mirrors wouldn’t arrive in time.
All turned up today.
Tried to fit mirror to stub.
Twisted mirror bracket into stub…Crack!
Windscreen looks like a starfish landed on it.
Rang Autoglass, they can’t come out until Sat.
Hoping wolf box can still be fitted without mirror.
Hope replacement windscreen has mirror stub.
Hope Autoglass guy will fit mirror for me .

I didn’t know they were that fragile.
If you have a heated windscreen make sure you get like for like, there’s a big difference in cost apparently.

It’s not heated so I think I’m all good. I’m not sure if my replacement one will have that same stub again though

At least I don’t have to try and get the two stuck-like-glue stickers off the passenger side that the previous owner left on.
