Covering rear headliner

Plan to get re-trimmed the two rear headliner sections in this that I have found..

I was thinking of doing the hardboard sections or getting replacement ply sections but will the factory strips that cover the joints go back on with this 3mm
fabric and the thickness of the ply.

I used hidden trim clips in the centre of the panels which keeps them cleaner looking .
Those big trim clips for around the edges are 'snug' but super strong
