If it was me I would budget around £2k-£2500 fitted. That should get you decent stuff eg Victron components ie large AGM battery (ies), solar panel, b2b charger, 13amp hook-up, battery monitoring, solar controller, 300W inverter, wiring, fuses, consumer box, 13amp charger, led lights and switches. Some units like Renology combine things which could save some money. It is a full couple of days work for someone who knows what their doing and it’s not something I would get done on the cheap. It’s critical to the type of camping we do ie weeks on end without plugging in and you want it to be right.
I need everything really. It doesn’t have anything at the moment and as for a solar panel I have a roof bars and will be putting a box on it so would that be an issue?@travelvolts is your man.
List what you want/need so he can quote you happy.
Ie.
Leisure battery.
EHU point.
240v charger.
Inverter.
Dc-dc charger.
Solar.
Monitoring.

If your roof box will cover the solar-panel over, then yes - without direct sunlight it’ll not yield any power... as for a solar panel I have a roof bars and will be putting a box on it so would that be an issue?
I've just bought a kit today from Rayne Automotive, cost me just north of £750. Chap I spoke to was called Richard, communication was great, came back to me very quickly with feedback on things I wanted to do. They send you a diagram for you to mark up where you want things to go e.g. the leisure battery, mains consumer unit, charger, lighting, 240V hook up etc. They then build a custom loom for you all marked up for easy installation, fingers crossed.
Looking forward to trying to install some of this kit, If I can't I'll try to find help on the forum or Youtube and if all else fails I'll get a local company to install.
Travelvolts I understand is also a very good company and offers good support, for me though the Rayne website and youtube videos featuring their products helped me to decide to use them. I don't think you will get a bad deal from either of these companies.
Dry fit your cabinets to get a general layout >> remove everything >> fit electrics with nothing in the wayDid you already have your units and sink installed or not? I’m just wondering should I get them in first to help plane where to put sockets etc
Sorry for the delayed reply, no I'm still using van as a work vehicle so doing small bits at a time., The electrical kits you can buy I guess will have some slack based on the van type LWB or SWB so everything should fit, with Rayne automotive you mark up a basic plan of a van with the approx location of eveything.Did you already have your units and sink installed or not? I’m just wondering should I get them in first to help plane where to put sockets etc
