Cooling fan not working

Hi All,

I believe the cooling fan on my 2018 t28 is not working and I was wondering if anyone had a wiring diagram for it?

I noticed that my air con was only really working when driving at decent speeds and was pretty weak sitting in traffic or parked. The engine fan is not running at all when the air con is switched on.

I have checked the fuse in the engine bay and the fan turns freely.

Has anyone experienced this before or have a wiring diagram to allow fault finding.

Thanks

the only one relevant related to HVAC refrigerant pressure
Engine radiator fan would trigger fault code in engine controller - not HVAC. If there were none I'm fairly confident the fan is ok.
ECU has a diagnostics test for the fan - which can be activated with a proper diagnostic tool.

The engine fan is not running at all when the air con is switched on.
I'm afraid it's not that straightforward - was there actually cooling demand, did the AC condenser/radiator warm up?

Thanks for the replies, I have a Foxwell diagnostic tool but, I don’t think it will allow me to force the fan on. I’ll have a dig through the wiring diagram to makes sure everything is fine there before speaking to a garage.

The strange thing is last night I did a really short journey and the engine temperature came right up and the revs were sitting around 1000rpm when I stopped. This is normally a signal to me that the DPF is doing a regen. The cooling fan normally runs at this point but it was not. I left it to do it’s thing for bout 10mins then the revs dropped gain

Just had to replace my radiator fan, first thing i noticed was it not coming on with AC and with the hotter days a few weeks back i actually had the AC stop working. This caused the flashing glow symbol etc and could get codes on the odd occation for the radatror fan, also it did not activate through diagnostics. Not used the Foxwell on the van but its very similar to the thinkdiag i use and that does have a function to activate cooling fan etc.

I checked the 4 pin plug and could get power ok and could see a 5v signal when the ac fan should have been active, so concluded my fan was gone. Managed to get a breaker replacement from a Seat as they wanted crazy price for a new one and the aftermarket ones never showed as compatible with my van.

Do you know which model seat the replacement fan was from?

Thanks.
