Clutch pedal on floor

So I've woken up this morning to find the clutch pedal on the floor in my 2019 T6 with 45000 miles on the clock.
I have an All-in plan and am waiting (probably a long time) for the AA to turn up.
Am I right in thinking that a master or Slave cylinder issue should be fixed under the warranty?
If it's the slave cylinder, should I get the clutch and possibly the DMF changed at the same time ? - How long do these normally last?

Probably slave, yes

That'd be sensible. I doubt they'd be worn out, but seeing as the biggest part of the cost is the labour youd be daft not to.

That's a bit "piece of string." Typically well in excess of 100k miles, but that's far from a guarantee. I've known fools wreck a clutch in under 10k miles, and others nurse them beyond 300,000 miles.

DMF is designed to last the life of the clutch, shouldn't be reused as there's no way to visually assess it.

A warranty issue providing the van has been serviced correctly to VW schedule, that would include brake fluid renewal.
An all too common problem.
It is sometimes possibly to physically pump the pedal up and down and get some clutch action back (make sure fluid is topped up first). This is very much a temporary measure and it will fail again.
My advice is if the recovery or workshop try this don’t accept it, it needs a proper repair.

Sounds like the master slave. I had the exact same problem on my first caravan trip last year. Ask the garage how much wear is on the clutch before replacing or just do it anyway. My slave was expensive but the clutch had plenty of life in it so was left in place. In hindsight, I should've replaced at the time.

This just happened to me too. The pedal feels disconnected from the hydraulics, it snaps to the floor and stays there and when pulled back it snaps to the out / up position. I have 2016 T6 with 60k miles. I’ve only just got it back from having the intercooler and condenser radiators replaced. It’s been dealer serviced according to the service schedule its whole life. What was your fault in the end?

Replacement release bearing/skave cylinder covered by my all in warranty, replacement clutch and DMF not coved under warranty- so v expensive fix

So did they say there was no causality relation between the clutch being so early bad and the actuator being faulty?
Did you have to pay for full labor or only for the clutch parts?

Just hoping you could update the thread please !
Got the all in plan and have the exact same issue on my 2019 150bhp van. Clutch pedal starting to stick and biting point has ended up on the floor, very awkward to drive, lots of free play at the top of the pedal.
All happened in the space of a few weeks as well.
Very much hoping the warranty will pay !!

Just happened to at 65K - to my mind that's not good enough VW! Looks like the slave cylinder so it's (IMO) to do the clutch etc at the same time), hoping my local garage can get the job done swiftly as was planning a trip for the weekend - not hopeful :(

Move went into VW main dealers and it was the slave cylinder.
They paid for it (all in plan) but I paid for a clutch plate as an extra.
All sorted for under £500, plan paid for itself already !

That's not good at 65k...
Mine went at 155k so as painful as it was, the clutch and flywheel had done OK.
I got the whole lot done at JKM in Portsmouth. Dropped off at 9 am, I had it back well before closing. I was quite happy with that.

Yes, 65k is (IMO) crazy low, I understand (before they break the gearbox from the engine to see what's what) that it's the Slave cylinder but having the clutch changed as one never knows, looks like I'll be without her for over a week as they have to fit it in between jobs that have been booked - sods law as we'd planned to go away at the weekend.
