Hi all

Recently I had heavy judder on accelerating from around 40 mph to 50 mph took it to the garage and off drive shaft was duff they changed the driveshaft took it for a blast up the motorway the day of receiving it back perfect no judder at all the way accelerating up to 70 up and down speed up and down hills was great
Took it shopping this morning on returning home changed to reverse to park up at home and got a clunk drove forward a little then changed to reverse again and clunk.
Got out opened bonnet moved forward a bit and got mrs to engage reverse while I looked in and engine seemed to move a lot and the a clunk not massive clunk but enough you can hear it and feel it in pedal.

I’m sure I won’t be the first to deal with this just found it strange after driveshaft change.

Any info on previous experience would be greatly appreciated.

Will be contacting the garage that did the driveshaft tomorrow either way.

It’s booked in on Wednesday
Noticed I only hear it at low speed sub 25 and after I have driven forward and then select reverse
Just hoping it’s not the splines inside gear box

We’re not able to find what the clunk is so going to book in at German car specialist Stockport

Booked in Tuesday at German car specialists on Tuesday looking possibly expensive

Anyone had a dsg refurb would love to know prices

Yeah garage says they are ok seemed like a lot of movement to me but I’m no mechanic

German specialist will give it a thorough look over Tuesday and Wednesday though
