Clatter noise from underneath. DMF?

Do you know why you turbo failed? Surly that isn’t just wear and tear? Has it always been serviced with correct oil etc?
Not really. Guy said its impact damage but didnt really expand on that showed me pictures of it with chunk out of the propeller and lots of debris looked abit like pollen build up to me. Said air filter was dirty. Last service was just me changing the oil and oil filter, service before that an independent garage then the 3 prior were vw services. They did send me pictures of whole engine out and communicated about prices so not pulling a fast one.

The original garage that I took it to for flywheel(S) said that my model and engine size are known for turbos failing apparently.

Garage has told me they've done main dealership diagnostic whatever that means and its saying adblue no pressure so telling me I've got to replace the adblue pump for another £600 plus labour. I just cant believe it. So far its £4600 repairs, £700 hire van now another grand by the sounds of things.

Is it really possible its just bad luck!? Just feel like im being juggles around by people who dont know what theyre doing and i obviously have no clue

They aren’t prone to premature turbocharger failure, certain bi-turbos are but not the single turbo’s.
What mileage interval were the oil services carried out?
10,000 between each one. Bit gutted you asked but I've looked at the invoices and looks like the only time air and pollen filter changed was at 23,000 miles just minor services since then so the last time light came on I serviced it and cheap scated out and didnt do air or fuel filter "will do it next time". Could that really blow the turbo not having air filter changed for 40,000 miles?

All gome wrong this morning picked up van, payed £700 for the adblue filter etc. Engine sounds jist like it did before so clearly the gearbox....according to the two mechanics "yeah thats gear box chatter". This is after telling me "the flywheel is f***ed" then this morning "we dont have the tools to measure flywheels properly". f*** it im past caring now. Went to drive off and my clutch still sticking to the floor god knows why they told me to pick it up saod they put 2 litres through it. Asked for momey back which went aswell as could expect. Took the 3rd absolutely fine fly wheel back to first garage who supplied it as they need to semd back to get warrenty. Asked if we could talk about van as im now vroke and van still f***ed. Told me to f*** off and asked me to punch him on camera to which then tried claiming I instigated row which makes sence when I want my van fixed or money back. Punching achieves that 🙄. Calmed down and explained I've not got a leg to stand on even though it is misdiagnosis it still would have needed dping as process of elimination. Going to pay the migrants at Tesco to clean it and take to we buy any car......once my f***ing clutch is fixed 😂😂😂😂😂😂
