Choosing A New T6

Hello all.
I'm an experienced caravanner with a Swift Challenger (Max up 1600 kg) towed by a 2016 Volvo XC60 D5 Auto (220 BHP) and am considering buying and converting a new T6. I want to avoid as much loss of performance as possible and the auto is a must. I am an experienced car restorer and have no issues with the conversion aspect of a project. Which should I buy and why? These are unchartered waters for me in terms of vehicle choice. Many thanks.

I have a 204ps dsg lwb 4motion. Until last year we'd alway had Discoverys, the last one being a D4 HSE 8speed auto. We tow & launch a boat which is 40kg shy of 2tonne. I was worried that the van wouldn't handle the boat, but I've been very pleasantly surprised. We've towed over mountain passes in Austria, we're currently in Portugal which ain't a flat country & it romps away. It's not as refined as the Disco, but it doesn't struggle. The van is a full Dirty Weekender camper conversion & the whole outfit weighs in a just over 5tonnes. I get mid 20's mpg towing & low 40's without the boat.
