@Sackmycook and @Dellmassive (or anyone else), I've come across my first hurdle. I've cut the solar extension cable (the one mentioned by @Sackmycook above, only to discover it has a single core with a sheath. I was expecting 2 cables to connect to the + and - of the MPPT controller. Any advise please? MTIA.
Finished, or at least electric side is. I've refitted drivers seat and swivel base - just need to refit passenger side tomorrow. Please feel free to ask any questions. The components I used were:
The only other things are timber/brackets etc. to mount MPPT controller and also crimping tool if don't already have one (basic one is less than £6 from Toolstation).
Can I hijack the thread to try and understand what's going off with mine.
So I recently got a lensun 200w folding suitcase.
BM300 battery monitor on the leisure battery.
Leisure battery is a Duracell DL 100. So not lithium.
So van was on ehu at home till Fri 11am ish. Drove to destination so expect battery to drop.
Plugged solar in and took an hour or so to get back to 100%. But what I don't understand are the power/watt reading from the controller that suggests it's pulling barely anything. Best I saw was 59w during prime sunshine.
